Annual NASC Audit

Successful Audit

We are delighted to have retained our NASC membership after a successful audit scoring 96%.Well done to all our staff who were able to display our safe working practices.

Edinburgh City Centre

A Challenging Project

Mar Scaffolding have recently finished their project on Princes Street, Edinburgh to provide emergency access to loose fascias.

The project had logistical difficulties and was time critical, although our staff worked under pressure through the night to handover the scaffolding to the customer on time. Working next to a tram track and also on one of the busiest pedestrian zones in Edinburgh safety was critical.

The project provided many challenges from tender stage right through to dismantle. Well done to everyone involved in the project.

Apprenticeships

Mar Scaffolding Welcomes New Apprentices

Mar Scaffolding are delighted to have recently taken on two new apprentices and would like to wish them every success in learning their new trade.

We are commited to providing knowledge and training to our young apprentinces to set them up for their carreeer in scaffolding. The applications for the positions were overwhelming, with a total of 60 candidates. The apprentices done very well to fend off some fierce competition and I am sure they will become valuable assests to the team.

We are dedicated to taking on a minimum of two apprentices per year at Mar, with many still being part of the team over a decade later. We have been awarded the accolade of Young Investors in People due to our approach of training, particularly with young staff, which we intend to renew in March.

If you wish to become part of the team at Mar, as an apprentice, keep a look out for positions usually posted around about May.
